We’re so excited to celebrate our incredible West Valley Dance Company and Action Day Schools communities with something extra special — just for YOU! One lucky winner will receive a prize bundle including recital apparel, a floral bouquet, and a $100 gift card — and entering is easy, fun, and all about spreading some Minion magic!

This giveaway is a collaboration between West Valley Dance Company and Action Day Schools, hosted on Instagram. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

This page provides all details necessary to participate fairly and successfully. Please read thoroughly before entering.

Giveaway Overview

  • Prize: One (1) winner will receive:
    • A piece of apparel from this year’s Despicable Me recital
    • A floral bouquet for any of the shows
    • A $100 gift card redeemable at the recital boutique or the Bascom boutique
  • Eligibility: Open to followers of both @westvalleydancecompany and @actiondayschools on Instagram
  • Entry Period:
    • Opens: Wednesday, May 14th
    • Closes: Wednesday, May 28th
  • Winner Announced: Sunday, June 1st
  • Selection Method: Winner will be randomly selected from verified, eligible entries

How to Enter

To qualify for the giveaway, participants must complete all three of the following steps:

  1. Like the official giveaway post on Instagram.
  2. Follow both accounts on Instagram:
  3. Comment a 🍌 (banana emoji) on the official giveaway post on Instagram. This confirms your entry once all other steps have been completed.

Important Note:

The giveaway is hosted exclusively on Instagram. All entry actions — including the like, follows, and banana comment — must take place on Instagram. Entries submitted through any other platform will not be counted.

Additional Rules and Clarifications

  • Multiple entries are allowed per family, but each entry must be submitted from a separate individual Instagram account. Duplicate entries from the same account will be counted only once.
  • The winner will be selected at random and announced publicly on Instagram on June 1st. They will also be contacted via direct message.
  • The prize bundle (recital apparel, floral bouquet, and $100 gift card) will be coordinated directly with the winning family. Further details will be shared via DM once the winner is confirmed.
  • The gift card may be used at the recital boutique or the West Valley Dance Company boutique on Bascom. It is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • If a winner cannot be reached within 5 business days, a new eligible winner may be drawn.
  • West Valley Dance Company and Action Day Schools reserve the right to disqualify any entry that does not meet the stated requirements.

 

FAQ’s

Do I have to follow both accounts to enter?

Yes! To be eligible, you must follow both @westvalleydancecompany and @actiondayschools on Instagram. Entries will be verified before a winner is selected.

Can two parents from the same family enter?

Yes. Multiple entries per household are allowed, as long as each is submitted from a different Instagram account that independently completes all entry requirements.

Do I have to like the post AND comment the banana?

Yes. All three steps — liking the post, following both accounts, and commenting 🍌 — are required. Incomplete entries will not be considered.

Where should the banana emoji be commented?

The 🍌 must be posted in the comments section of the official giveaway post on Instagram. This confirms your entry after you have completed the like and follow steps.

How will the winner be selected?

All entries will be manually verified for eligibility. Once confirmed, the winner will be randomly selected using a third-party draw tool.

How will the prize be delivered?

Once the winner is confirmed via Instagram DM, our team will coordinate the apparel, bouquet, and gift card directly with the winning family. No further action is needed on the winner’s end beyond responding to the DM.
