The Moorpark San Jose preschool campus opened in August of 1971. The original classrooms were created out of the building site that was formerly a church. As the years went by an Infant Center was added which was one of the first private facilities in Santa Clara County to enroll children six months old. In the early 90’s, extensive remodeling was done on the building and additional classrooms were constructed. In the fall of 1995, the first Kindergarten class was enrolled in the new building.
The property was a farm in the days Mrs. Winchester drove down the road in her fancy carriage. Many kinds of fruit trees and farm animals lived on the property. The farm theme has been maintained in the extensive classrooms and infant center. The site for the center is approximately two and a half acres, which provides for lots of outdoor area.
Children are divided into age groups for various infant, preschool and kindergarten activities. Dance, sports and enrichment activities are available.
