We are honored to be featured in Bay Area Parent’s Faces of Family Living 2026 as The Face of Family-Owned Early Education.
For nearly 60 years, Action Day Schools has grown alongside the Bay Area families we serve. What began in 1968 has grown into 14 locations across the Bay Area, but one thing has remained the same: our commitment to providing an environment where children feel known, supported, and excited to learn.
Remaining family-owned has played an important role in that journey. As President and Partner Cathy Jelic shared in the feature, Action Day is “big enough to deliver, but small enough to care.”
That philosophy can be seen throughout our schools every day—from the relationships our teachers build with their students to the experiences that encourage children to explore, create, problem-solve, and grow with confidence.
This recognition is especially meaningful because it celebrates something that has been at the heart of Action Day for generations: the people who make our schools such special communities. We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated educators and staff, and for the generations of Bay Area families who have trusted us to be part of their children’s lives.
