Every month our Pre-K classrooms at Lincoln learn about an artist, and they get to recreate what the artist has done.
This month the children learned about Lisa Be, an activist and artist from a coastal town in New York. Her community was devastated by Hurricane Sandy, so as a commemorative community art piece, she and the local community collected 25,000 plastic bottle caps to create a mural titled ” When the Beach Meets the Bay.”
The children have been collecting plastic pouch caps during this past school year, and today they created their own recycled murals!♻️
They look AMAZING!
